The ultimate rhythm guitar for tunings from e to drop-c
I developed the Ultimate Rhythm Guitar in 2018 in collaboration with the world-famous metal producer Jens Bogren (Fascination Street Studios, Stockholm), who since his first studio recordings in the mid-90s dreamed of THE perfect rhythm guitar, which can be used as a rock or metal guitar.
It should have precise sound reproduction for all tunings from E to drop-C, without the pitch fluttering when the strings are struck harder. A problem that arises with many guitars. In addition, it should be optimally playable for every musician.
Jens heard of me through my collaboration with Mastodon and after a first meeting in Berlin I was supposed to realize his dream. I was happy to take up this challenge and set about developing.
The result is a new guitar series that offers a completely new sound dimension. The Ultimate Rhythm Guitar!
Thanks to the wooden combination of the khaya mahogany body and the glued ovangkol neck with a slightly extended scale, the Ultimate Rhythm Guitar behaves extremely stable in all tunings from E- to drop-C and provides a perfect balance of tonality with best playability. Whether live or in the studio.
With the freeway switch, three humbucker and three single coil sounds can be realized, which enables an excellent selection of sound combinations. Whether Paula or Strat sounds – with the Ultimate metal guitar everything is possible.
In the meantime, the Ultimate Rhythm Guitar can be heard on many international album productions of well-known rock and metal bands such as Amorphis, Sepultura, Powerwolf or Kreator (Jens Bogren, Fascination Studios, SE) as well as Epica (Joost van den Broek, Sandlane Recording Facilities, NL). But also with young national artists such as Jakob “Jackpot” Schulze (Swiss + Die Andern) this unique custom guitar has become indispensable on stage or in the studio.
The Ultimate Rhythm Guitar is available as a single or double cut version with 22 or 24 stainless steel frets.
Ultimate - Green Dragon
The single cut version of the Ultimate Rhythm Guitar with engraved aluminium pickguard (Dragons) and a metallic green finish, impresses with its dreamlike look and playability.
Optimized for modern tunings from E to drop-C, it offers a completely new sound dimension. Whether clean sounds or highgain, the wooden combination of khaya mahogany and ovangkol neck makes both possible. With the freeway switch three humbucker and three single coil sounds can be realized, which offer an excellent selection of sound combinations. This guitar makes your wishes come true and delivers both, Paula and Strat sounds with extremely precise sound reproduction and best playability.
