Scales for the very deep tunings
A baritone guitar enables a completely new spectrum of sounds and delivers the best possible sound for all deep tunings with scales from 27.6″ to 31″. Whether clean or highgain, these guitars provide definition, dynamics and control in the low end.
Deep tunings have always been my passion. Already at the beginning of the 90s I played a 5-string bass with a high C-string over my guitar amp. It sounded like a guitar, just one level lower, which was the typical sound of my band at the time. But the creation of my first baritone guitar was only initiated many years later by Billy Corgan (The Smashing Pumpkins), who asked me at a meeting, “Why don’t you build a baritone guitar?”
With this inspiration and my love for the low frequency range, I developed my first 29″ guitar.
A completely new sound universe opened up, deep strong sounds came out and made every normal tuned guitar seem powerless. Tunings to drop-A now sounded like deep guitars and not like a distorted bass.
In terms of playing, it felt like a guitar with a longer neck, but without losing the usual playing comfort. I was enthusiastic and gradually developed a wide variety of baritone models that meet all the requirements of modern guitar productions in all tunings.

Hellcaster - 29" Baritone guitar HB - Players White
The Hellcaster series from Cyan is classic, but still very modern. This baritone guitar in Players finish is equipped with a swamp ash body as well as an ovangkol neck and ovangkol fretboard. Its aluminium custom inlays offer the best overview in every situation.
The Cyan custom bridge with string-through body is inspired by a Telecaster bridge, but optimized for the modern requirements of a baritone guitar. Ergonomically perfect and haptic a pleasure, just as a custom guitar should feel.
With the 29″ scale, this Hellcaster model is ready to sound like a true down tuned thunderstorm till drop-A, providing definition, dynamics and control in the low end, while Gotoh locking tuners ensure a perfect tuning. The pickup combination can be freely selected.

Hellcaster - 29" Baritone guitar SC - Players White
This Hellcaster baritone guitar is a Telecaster on steroids.
It lets deep tunings to drop-A sound with the ease you’ve always wanted. A glued ovangkol neck with ebony fingerboard and Cyan custom inlays for a perfect overview, provides maximum sound and playability. The Cyan custom bridge with string-through body construction takes every little nuance out of the sound of each string and the ergonomically perfectly balanced swamp ash body provides the necessary pressure. Hellcaster - 29" Baritone guitar - Living Colour
The Living Colour finish of this Hellcaster baritone guitar originally resulted from a varnishing accident and enthused me so much, that it has been an integral part of Cyan custom surface designs ever since. The marble-like look makes this extraordinary guitar a unique custom instrument.
The swamp ash body and the glued ovangkol neck with ovangkol fretboard provide transparency and power in the low frequency range. Tunings up to drop-A sound with a lightness and are never muddy, but always fresh and tidy.

Breed - 29" Baritone guitar - Living Colour
The Breed baritone guitar with its classic look and the Cyan custom parts is a true queen amongst Cyan custom guitars.
The semi-solid swamp ash body with a maple top sounds extremely open and transparent and offers perfect ergonomics and playability. The dynamics are provided by an ovangkol neck with ovangkol fingerboard, which is glued up to the bridge pickup.
Cyan aluminium custom inlays offer a perfect fingerboard overview. With a scale of 29″ this Breed model is well equipped to accompany you into the world of modern tunings up to drop-A. Optionally, two split humbuckers in Cyan custom pickup frames are available, which fulfil any sound request. Zodiac Excalibur - 29" Baritone guitar - Blackburst
The Zodiac Excalibur is an uncompromising variant in the Cyan baritone guitar family. The ash body with brushed grain (Blackburst), the Cyan custom bridge and a glued ovangkol neck with ebony fingerboard offer everything the low end heart desires. Endless power, dynamics, transparency and control for all modern tunes for deep sounds.
As a highlight of the extravagant look, an aluminum inlay of 7mm was inserted at the bottom of the body.
